If you’re like me you notice more and more spelling errors on news sites, books, articles. Hell. Even here.
Maybe you don’t.
Would you like to?
Check out the spell check bookmarklet for Firefox.
You just click on the marklet in the article, drag it to your bookmarks toolbar and PRESTO!
You’ll be able to see all the spelling mistakes on a web page (not just the forms you fill in for comments ,etc.)
Also a great way to spot errors, fix them and then copy and paste them to an email, a blog post, etc.

If you use bit torrents to download stuff from the internet, you can become anonymous and it won’t cost a thing.
If you’re of the mindset that what you do with your BitTorrent client is your business and not that of people snooping, sniffing, and prying at your packets along the way, ItsHidden offers a free VPN server to anonymize your activity.
ItsHidden uses 128-bit encryption on the secure tunnel created between you and the ItsHidden servers. Based out of the Netherlands, ItsHidden takes advantage of the legal climate there and doesn’t log any activity passed through its servers.
To access the ItsHidden VPN, you need to sign up for a free account and make a small configuration tweak to your respective operating system to enable the VPN. They include step by step instructions for Windows XP, users of other systems will either have to use them as a template or look up the specific steps for their OS. ItsHidden requires no software installation.

Got the new Firefox 3.5 and want to keep your last tab open?
The new Firefox 3.5 release brought a lot of great features, but one annoyance sent reader Mark looking for a solution: When you close the last tab, the browser closes instead of opening a blank tab.
Changing the behavior back to the way it used to work is very simple: just type about:config into the address bar and find the browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab entry in the list-using the filter makes it easy. Once you’ve found that key, double-click on it to change the value from true to false, and Firefox should no longer close when you close the last tab.

I use a small fan with a mist water sprayer–it works…….
My current ‘spell check’ works on my blogging text, my comment text and my email text……my problem is I often have a mental fart and type in the wrong word spelled correctly!
