These are so call. They’re called 7-8-9s. 1957 Chevy, 1958 Chevy, 1959 Chevy. All on a Corvette drivetrain.
Read about them here.
the 789 has the “hooded eyes”and chrome grille of a ’57, a mid-section that’s reminiscent of a ’58 Impala and the “bird in flight” rear tailfins of a ’59.

For some reason Batman came to mind.
Then again, I am a bit “batty!”
The ’58 is killed by the ’57 and ’59. The ’58 was special! During my Navy years I bought a ’58 four door while stationed at Great Lakes for A school. I drove it for six months and sold it to a “new” A school guy for what I paid for it – $50.
It served me well and I wish I had it now!
Never really cared for the 58. I’m a fins guy. Much prefer the 59 to a 57, too!
Truly a retro roadster worthy of….Caprica. Someone should call RDM and have them do a little product placement on that show (which, BTW, starts January 22, watch the DVD, don’t watch the cut-down Skiffy version).
I’ll take mine in white!
