I swear, this guy and those that think like him have got to be the biggest morons in the world.

Obama wants to give every American taxpayer a $1000 stimulus check………at the expense of oil companies by raising their taxes.

Is it possible this son of a bitch is so stupid he does not realize that oil companies could give a crap about tax increases? They will just pass on those increases to the consumer.

Who benefits? No one, really, because petroleum is used in almost everything today. Even if you don’t drive your groceries will go up because those plastic bags are….petroleum derivatives. As is the packaging of almost everything we buy.

Who suffers? The consumer, of course. But worst hit will be the seniors and pension funds invested in oil companies who will see profits slashed, dividends cut, and share prices plummet.

Am I the only one who sees this? Why isn’t McCain and the assholes in his campaign hitting this HARD?!?!?!?

And you mean to tell me no one sees the irony of people IN government telling the rest of us to tighten our belt while they continue to reap the benefits of the profits from oil companies?

Exxon also had a hefty tax bill. Worldwide, the company paid $10.5 billion in income taxes in the second quarter, $9.5 billion in sales taxes, and over $12 billion in what it called ‘other taxes.’”

….. In other words, Exxon Mobil paid $32.361 billion in taxes in the second quarter, which works out to $4,114 in taxes per second.

Looking at it from another perspective, Exxon Mobil’s profit of about 8.4% of sales, while the taxes paid represented over 23% of sales.

And what do asswipes like Obama want to do? RAISE those taxes? When will government CUT taxes? Given I have to tighten my belt why don’t the Feds?

Meanwhile, we have House and Senate Democrats going on vacation with ABSOLUTELY NO ACTION on freeing us from overseas oil dependancy.

As a matter of fact, check out this video where Mitch McConnel keeps raising the stakes in trying to determine at which point Democrats WON’T object ot what he says and allow oil drilling.

He got to $10 a gallon. And still they objected to drilling.
