Since we’ve basically declared victory in Iraq, Glenn, at Instapundit makes a great point when he says:
THEY TOLD ME THAT IF WE WON IN IRAQ, GAS WOULD BE CHEAP. And they were right! “The average national price of gasoline fell 9 cents in the past two weeks, bringing it to its lowest point in nearly five years, according to a national survey released Sunday.”
So when some leftist twit tries to tell you different and insists that the price of oil is due to the dollar’s strength and the economic mess, ask him how you saying this is any different than the NY Times saying President Bush is responsible for the economic mess when we all know it was the likes of Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Nancy Pelosi pushing Fannie and Freddie to make bad loans and create a house of cards that is now collapsed.
Don’t take my word for it. Rodger has a little video with the details and some choice words, too:

FAULT: Capitalism has just run out (pardon the pun) GAS!
